Step1,Warm-up

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning, Miss Yang.

T: How are you?

Ss: Fine , thank you.

T: Well, boys and girls , what’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s warm and windy.

英语单词音节的划分方法

元音字母与辅音字母。英语用26个字母拼写单词,其中a、e、i(y)、o、u是元音字母(y为半元音字母),其余的都是辅音字母。

音节:是以元音为核心构成的发音单位。音节是读音的基本单位,任何单词的读音,都是分解为一个个音节朗读。在英语中元音特别响亮,一个元音可构成一个音节,一个元音和一个或几个辅音音素结合也可以构成一个音节。

一般说来,元音可以构成音节,辅音不响亮,不能构成音节。

音节通常分为五类:开音节、闭音节、-r音节、-re音节、元音字母组合音节。

但英语辅音字母中有 4 个辅音[m],[n],[ng],[l]是响音,它们和辅音音素结合,也可构成音节。它们构成的音节往往出现在词尾,一般是非重读音节。

英语的词有一个音节的,两个音节的,多个音节的。一个音节叫单音节,如:take 拿;两个音节叫双音节,如: ta'ble 桌子;三个音节以上叫多音节,如:pota'to` 马铃薯,pop`ula'tion 人口,congrat`ula'tion 祝贺。tel'ecommu`nica'tion 电讯

在双音节与多音节词中,至少有一个音节读得特别响亮,这个音节叫做重读音节,用重读符号[ ' ]表示,其他读得不特别响亮的音节叫做非重读音节。

开音节有两种,一种叫做绝对开音节,即在元音字母后面没有辅音字母,例如:go、we、me、I、my;另一种叫做相对开音节,其结构为:元音字母+辅音字母(r除外)+不发音的字母e。

闭音节,指元音字母后面有辅音字母(r除外)时,这个元音字母构成的音节。

划分音节的方法:元音是构成音节的主体,辅音是音节的分界线。

(1)两辅音之间不管有多少个元音,一般都是一个音节。

如:bed / bed / 床, bet / bet / 打赌, seat / si:t / 坐位,

beat / bi:t / 毒打, beaut / bju:t / 极好的 beau'ty / bju:ti / 美

y有时代替i当作元音字母。

如果单词中当作唯一的元音用时,念长音。

(2)如果两元音字母之间有一个辅音字母时(r除外),有时将这个辅音字母划分在前面的音节里,有时划分在后面的音节里。

第一种情况:“一归后”。

重读音节在第二个音节,其元音按照第二章中的诸多规则读音。

第二种情况:“一归前”。 辅音字母归前一音节,第一个音节的元音按照“短元音”读。如: city 划分成 cit y minute 划分成 min ute

study 划分成 stud y second 划分成 sec ond

travel 划分成 trav el never 划分成 nev er

显然,第一个音节的元音按照“短元音”读。

另外,字母 x 永远是划归第一个音节的。并且第一个音节读“短元音”。如:

taxi划分成 tax i exit 划分成 ex it exam 划分成 ex am

(3)如果两音节之间有两个不同辅音字母(第一个不是r),这两个辅音字母分别划归前后两个音节,第一个音节为闭音节。第一个音节的元音按照“短元音”读,相邻的辅音字母有读音。

如: win'ter 冬天。window,sister,system,publish,milky (建议将这个单词的读音与millet 的读音相比较。)

(4)如果两音节之间有两个不同辅音字母(第一个辅音字母为 r) 时,这两个辅音字母可分别划归左右两个音节,第一个音节按r重读音节读。

如 corner market 划分成 mar ket dirty 划分成 dir ty

certain 划分成 cer tain forty 划分成 for ty

surface 划分成 sur face purple 划分成 pur ple

(5)如果两个相同的辅音字母(包括字母 r )在一起并用时,只发一个辅音字母的音,第一个音节的元音按照“短元音”读,但是相邻的那一个辅音字母没有读音。

如:let'ter 信,matter,happy,middle,better ,carry,yellow,borrow,millet,little, 注意:字母 l, r在非重读音节中,有时起元音的作用。如在单词little, acre 中。

如果两音节之间的两个辅音字母都是r,前面的重读音节按闭音节读。

如:carry //, sorry // , carrot //, borrow /  /。

(6)带前缀的单词,有时也有两个相同的辅音字母(包括字母 r ),如:

attack 划分成 at tack arrive划分成 ar rive

attend 划分成 at tend correct划分成 cor rect

effect 划分成 ef fect support划分成 sup port

这样的单词,第一个音节是“非重读音节”,元音一般读“含糊元音”。

(7)不能拆分的字母组合按字母组合划分音节。

a. 辅音字符th, sh, ch, tch, ck等,是不允许分割的。这样的单词有:如:fa'ther 父亲,tea'cher 教师。

以上所讲正是:每个音节一元音, 并连辅音两边分,还有一点需注意,字母组合不能分,缺少元音无音节,不算几个成节音。
